Non Diy Wedding Items
Bouquets
I'm using fake flowers because I'm allergic to real flowers. I didn't trust my bouquet-making abilities so I used Etsy seller My Favors and Flowers. Linda was an absolute delight to work with, I highly recommend her. These are my completed bouquets: 3 bridesmaids bouquets, 1 bridal bouquet, and 1 toss bouquet. I love them!
Save the Dates
I ordered these Save the Dates from Vista Print. I used an email offer for 100 free postcards and all I had to pay for was shipping (about $6). I think of STD's as being more fun and informal. I thought these were cute, the flowers reminded me of Hawaiian flowers which is appropriate since we are going to Hawaii for our honeymoon. Plus, you can't beat that price. (The picture has a bad glare on the date and location but you get the idea).
Cake Topper
Steve is an animator so we knew we wanted to do cartoon character cake toppers for our wedding cake. Originally we were going to use a bride and groom Mickey and Minnie but I found these at Party City for $1 and decided, for that price, they would be just as cute!
Invitations
I really love the pocket fold invitations but I could not justify spending all that time and money making them when the majority of my guests will just throw the invitation away after the wedding. I bought these printable kits from Party City. They were $20 for 50 invites and I bought 2 which gave me plenty of extras. They aren't the fanciest invites but I'm really happy with them and they were only $40!!
Personalized Drink Napkins
I know these are totally unnecessary but I really wanted them! My mom still has some of the personalized napkins from her and my dad's wedding and I just love them! I bought these through the Knot's wedding shop when they had a sale and I love them. The lettering is actually a really pretty purple but it didn't quite come across in the picture.
Guestbook Frame
Instead of a traditional guestbook we are using this framed engagement picture with a mat that our guests can sign. I figure I will hang this on the wall and actually look at it more than I would a regular guestbook.
